Mrs. Pool graduated from the University of Texas-Pan American with a degree in Communications, and a minor in Journalism. She worked in Pharmaceutical Sales with Eli Lilly and Company for 12 years working in Neuroscience. She and her husband Dr. Jeff Pool moved to Joshua and opened Joshua Chiropractic 16 years ago and have supported JISD in that time. Julie has served the last 10 years supporting multiple JISD campus PTSO's and booster clubs. She also began the non-profit toy drive foundation, Kaleight's Sleigh in 2020.

“My heart and time have really been committed to strengthening parental support within the district for the past ten years," said Pool. "So it really made sense for me to extend my efforts into deepening our community support for the Education Foundation. The foundation is a true legacy for our wonderful community, there is no better investment than our kids!”

She and her husband have three children. Parker Pool, a 2019 graduate of Joshua High School, is attending Dallas Baptist University. Her daughters Lindy and Tyler Pool, both attend Joshua High.

Mrs. Pool looks forward to building the JISDEF to new heights in the coming years by building upon the strong core values of the Foundation.
